Gendercare Butterfly Strategy
The SOC6 of HBIGDA suggests for
transsexual transition before SRS and after diagnosis, a period of 1 to 2 years of
social exposure of the transsexual in transition.
We know, that transition period is extremely difficult, humiliating and full of
possible traumatic situations, for transsexual youths in schools and at home, and
even for more mature ones, in offices and other social places.
Is that suffering really necessary, or is it a trace of old taboos and exclusions,
even unconscious exclusions determined by therapists against the
transsexual existence?
Gendercare create an alternative strategy for transsexual transitioning, mainly
for MtF transsexuals, what we call
The Butterfly Strategy.

After Gendercare`s diagnosis, what is really important, in our opinion, is not to
be sure if the transsexual will adapt to a new life... we are sure, after our
diagnostic, they will..... we don`t need to ask any more sufferings from them to
be sure about it.
What is important for us is the patient be sure of
its own reality, and we from Gendercare we need to be sure about our patient`s
reality and future complete harmony in its life. With our complete diagnosis, and
our follow up during transition, we
may have that insurance.
What is important then? To show the miseries of the patient to all people, for 1
or 2 years?
No!!!!
What is important is to do the transition inside a social and existential cocoon, as
a protection against any aggression from the environment and society.... against all
possible professional and other social aspects exclusion from "normal society".
The patient knows, and we know what happens, but the classmates, the colleagues do
not need to know!
One or two years later, after the most perfect SRS surgery and transition, the
patient leaves the
cocoon, and renewed, she, as a butterfly, can start flying publicly, as a normal
woman.
As all butterflies, she will need to be smart.... to don`t be catched by any
butterfly net device,
or to be killed by any animal that surely will live in the same
environment, with her.
